I'm a regular patron at the Commandore (10yrs) and I must say the food has always been top notch.
(Reviewed 2019)The accommodation at the Commodore is fantastic with nice updated and clean rooms at reasonable rates.The Commodore also offers a 22kw Tesla charger for their customers which is really handy if traveling in a Tesla to or Via Mount Gambier.The food is still high standard and great quality.(Reviewed 2017) Great spot for a nice dinner or a quick lunch the service is prompt and attentive great Gin selection no doubt biggest in mount gambier.
I booked the room through their website, which was hassle free. The website indicated the room i booked would be at the back of the property.... so very wrong, i got the room closest to the the main road, twas a very loud night. The room was out dated, the lights in the bathroom were on a sensor and couldn't be turned off. There was silverfish in the cutlery draw... with THE spoon. Oh... and very pricey with almost dial up speed wifi
A neat place, excellent customer service... It's old but clean and tidy... And reasonable price.. Close to all stores and attractions.. I don't know if they have intercom facility, as there was no number left in the room to call reception...
Afternoon staff were horrible . Morning staff awesome. $138 a night for crappy 80s room. Asked for a second milk and was told only one cup per day!!!! Never had that before. Second night room with spa was fine. Overall, don't waste your money. ..some staff awesome, overall experience well below par. Sorry, but those are the facts
