The hotel is clean and quiet, close to the city centre, with a large communal kitchen and a refrigerator. There is a social tennis court and swimming pool next to it. It is important to thank the staff here for the great help that my daughter is ill, thank you.We like it very much.
Unique old jail with old cells used as rooms that gives you real authentic feel of how it would have been for inmates. Run by James who is very friendly and helpful. I personally wouldnt stay for more then couple of nights due to basic ammenties which is to be expected.

We had an amazing stay here at the start of our Great Ocean Road Trip. The woman who checked us in was lovely and welcoming, and very helpful, providing us with a map of the local area and suggesting places to eat for dinner and things to see in Mount Gambier. She also showed us around the gaol, and told us the general history of the gaol. There are signs up all around the gaol informing you of the detailed history of the place. The rooms were comfortable and the entire place was amazingly clean. The common room area was cozy and stocked with books and games. The owners also seemed super friendly and helpful when we spoke to them. The kitchen was lovely and stocked with hot chocolate, tea, coffee, and sugar, which was a nice touch! I would recommend this place to anyone!
Fantastic homely place to stay just a short stroll from the main centre of Mount Gambier and just down the hill from the crater lakes where you can do long or short walks in the gorgeous countryside and discover a bit about the landscape and history. Comfy beds, simple but clean dorm rooms, only downside is the noise from the wooden floors and narrow corridors in the small confines of the dorm area. Other than that, really well supplied and large kitchen with the best tea facilities! Hosts are very welcoming and friendly and easy to contact and approach for any help or extra needs. Everything withing walking or cycling distance too. Ideal for a weekend break.
