Dr Mathew Oomen was a complete waste of my time, Unprofessional never going to that clinic again. No words to describe his professionalism. Look elsewhere if you want treatment or advise even for a plain flu. Unbelievable...
My consultation with Dr Mathew Oomen was a complete waste of time. I found this Dr to be inconsiderate, and lacking the necessary maturity to be able to deal with mature age/sick patients effectively. Much consultation time was spent with him bragging about himself. My sickness was a flu & throat infection which I knew with certainty, would not improve without antibiotics, and even though I pleaded my individual case with him, he refused to give me a script for them.A script for nasal spray called Dymista costing $51.50 was given, it did nothing, hence I was forced to seek another Dr's help, who proceeded to immediately offer antibiotics, stating that my infection would definitely not improve without them, taking into account that I was travelling, under extra stress, and not able to rest.Dr Mathew did not except my circumstances on an individual case basis, and did not work in my best interest, which all doctors are supposed to do.
Dr Matthew was knowledgeable, professional and recommended. He is an asset to the medical scene in Mount Gambier.
Excellent DoctorDont generally do reviews but felt compelled to write one after reading the last one . If I am not wrong it was my child who dropped the Jelly bean that Dr Mathew gave him. He did have more than one in his hand and just did not want my child to get the one he dropped . Did hear the comment made then but didnt think much of it until I read this . How wrong some people are !!!!!!!!Dr Mathew has taken care of several people in Mount Gambier and I do not think I am alone in saying that you would be hard pressed to find someone who puts in so much time and effort for each and every patient he sees . I incidentally first saw him for a second opinion regarding an issue I had gone to the emergency about. My doctor at my regular clinic had told me that the doctor in the hospital was wrong . Dr Mathew first requested records and spent quite a bit of time exploring why the doctors would have said what they said to me rather than saying either one was wrong . No doctor he told me ever says anything without good reason . I wonder if this person asked for something and wasnt happy they didnt get it . Have heard people say so much about other people and services to him and never had him say one bad thing about another person. I have three children and know quite a few people who see him. He recieves calls during his consultations , answers questions , goes out to check on sick patients in the waiting room to make sure their ok . Looks like a doctor who shows up to work . Not sit idle . Dr Mathew helped my sister through a miscarriage , and aunt through a divorce and helped my nephew deal with ADHD . He is kind and caring and very thorough . My stepfather had a bypass done in Melbourne since he would not just give him antacids for his chest pain Please dont believe everything you read . Especially if the person posting a review does not have the courage or integrity to put a name to their so called review.
Unprofessional Dr Mathew Oommen. Far to busy filling his narcissism to effectively treat adult patients. Has an unhealthy attraction to children & a deep seeded need to fondle patients, overstepping normal Australian social standards. Unhygienic & willing to eat dropped lollies off waiting room floor. When asked if he did do that, he responded in the most childish manner with an immature oooooooooh as heard in the primary school yard! Parades himself in a manic, hyperactive & attention seeking manner. Extremely emotionally immature. Slanders other doctors diagnosis as rookie mistakes that actually came from senior medical staff in emergency. Believe the opposite of what this narcissistic try hard says & your more informed than listening to him!! Unsupervised with an grandiose overinflated sense of self with arrogance that hes a law unto himself.A malpractice accident waiting to happen. Insecure patients seem to LOVE the attention & he preys on that. Question or critique him & watch a narcissist break down! I totally agree with Neville Lehmann as I experienced the same conduct.Dont let him groom your children with dirty jellybeans!! Do so at your own risk.
Dr Matthew was brilliant. Caring, empathetic and so happy to know you. Were travelling and always looking for good Doctors when needed. I would highly recommend Matthew and his receptionist for an exceptional visit.
